KRONOCOAT 330
Two-component epoxy polyamide primer
Description
KRONOCOAT 330 is a two-component epoxy-polyamide primer. It is characterized by high adhesion, anti-corrosion properties and high filling power. The primer is used for the treatment of steel metal structures in industrial areas.
Application and surface preparation
All surfaces to be primed must be clean and dry, free from dust and rust. Possible traces of salt, grease and oil must be removed using a suitable detergent:
- Iron/Steel: sandblasting SA 2½ (ISO 8501-1).
- Galvanized sheet steel surface: siliceous sandblasting to grade SaS. If sandblasting is not possible, the surface must be roughened mechanically or manually, then cleaned thoroughly.
- Aluminum: sandblasting with non-metallic abrasive to grade SaS. If sandblasting is not possible, the surface must be roughened mechanically or manually, then thoroughly cleaned, in which case adhesion will be ensured.
- Concrete: We recommend cleaning with a water jet and/or blasting.
- Old paint coatings: thoroughly remove the paint layer by sandblasting (ISO 8501-1) or mechanically clean to PSt2.
Product preparation for priming
In order to obtain the best results, it is important to follow the following recommendations during the product preparation procedure:
- mix the product well before use;
- mix the product (part A) and hardener (part B) in the required proportion
- apply the product within the shelf life of the finished mixture (pot life).
Application conditions
- The product must be applied at a temperature of +5°C to +30°C and a relative humidity not exceeding 80%.
- The surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.
- Temperatures below +5°C slow down the drying process.
Operating recommendations
- Used containers must be disposed of in accordance with national legislation and/or regional regulations.
- After finishing painting work, it is recommended to immediately rinse all equipment with a special flushing solvent.
- For professional use in accordance with the safety data sheet and precautions indicated on the packaging.
- Shelf life at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C: 12 months.
- The product should be stored in a closed, dry place, away from heat sources.
