Description

DESCRIPTION: Base coat (KRONOCOAT 1201) – is the filler slurry with a special mixture of anticorrosive pigments including aluminium microflakes in the solution of epoxy resin cured by modified curing agent.

APPLICATION:

The base coat may be applied for protection of internal and external surfaces of steel structures operated under the conditions of marine, seacoast, industrial and urban atmosphere in combined system of anti-corrosion protection with materials of KRON series, as well as for environments lm1, lm2, lm3 according to ISO 12944. The base coat may be applied on concrete foundations.

The base coat may be applied as individual coating for protection of steel structures operated without direct ultraviolet exposure.

The base coat has a possibility of overlapping – with epoxy, polyurethane, alkyd and vinyl materials. Moreover, there is a possibility of application on old coatings.

ADVANTAGES: The coating has a high mechanical strength and resistance to exposure to water, solutions of acids and alkali, petrol and diesel fuel oil and good resistance to abrasion wear.
